Pacific Cement Limited is a subsidiary of Fijian Holdings Limited consistently takes a strong, proactive approach towards resource conservation, waste reduction and environmental protection:

With an Environment Waste Permit in placed PCL has significantly improved on minimizing Dust level with internationally recognized system in place

Since it is a locally-controlled company, it has committed itself to reducing the impact of cement production on the environment and has moved towards sustainable growth.

This was made possible in 2004 following a $4m restructure of our cement-making process. Now carbon dioxide has been reduced, dust emissions and water run-off have minimised, and we no longer dredge the Suva Harbour for coral sand. Pacific Cement Limited is also 14001:2004 certified.

This certification helps the company in identifying and controlling their environmental impact and improving their environmental performance.
